Ampacet introduces Formula X polyethylene terephthalate (PET) masterbatches for colors and additives that can be used in stretch blow molding, injection molding and thermoforming without the effort and expense of pre-drying. It also offers the potential to reduce existing process issues such as feed throat clogging and screw slippage. Formula X masterbatches allow for dispersion of colors, additives and special effect pigments such as pearlescent and frost effects. They are compatible with bottle-grade PET and their viscosity is close to that of PET, so they do not affect bottle properties.
